Thanksgiving Volunteers

Last year we served over 5000 pounds of food which served more than 1000 people that would not have had a proper meal this Thanksgiving. We need volunteers for our feeding programs at Mercy on Thanksgiving Day at 11:00 am and Safe Harbor on November 19, 2019 at 4:00 pm. We will provide bags of food to the families at Safe Harbor for Thanksgiving Day. Please donate or volunteer.

Christmas Opportunities

Christmas is around the corner and it is once again the time to give. We will be serving the same amount as Thanksgiving.

In addition, our biggest yearly Christmas program is providing all of the children at our Food Cooperative and Safe Harbor $20.00 gift cards for Christmas. This year we need 50 gift cards. We also hold a Christmas Stocking Name Draw where five lucky members receive $100 gift cards, to Walmart or Target, which we need to purchase. If anyone would like to purchase gift cards, they can be mailed to C2A or picked up by Jeremy Turner. You can the contact information here.

Also, anyone wishing to contribute can simply donate online and Contribute2America will purchase gift cards with those funds. Once again it is the end of the year, when donations are needed and tax deductions are possible for 2018.

Ongoing Opportunities

Mercy Community Church

Mercy feeds several thousand homeless men and women each week. Our donated food and supplies helps with their great work reaching those in need on the streets and at their facility. Last year Contribute2America donated over 7000 pounds of food to their organization which assisted more than 2000 people.

Every 4th Wednesday of each month, C2A hosts a church dinner for the homeless at St. John’s Lutheran Church located at 1410 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30307.

To volunteer, fill out our form and specify "Mercy" or contact Chad Hyatt by phone 404-803-5075 or email mercy@mercyonline.net.
